Nandi  comes  from  Mnandi,  which  means  “delicious”  in  the  language  of  the  Zulu  people of South Africa.  But  that  was  a  bit  of  a  mouthful,  so  they  dropped  the  ‘m’  and  called  themselves  Nandi.
