Zoo Med's Aquatic turtle food is used and recommended by Zoos, veterinarian and professional breeders worldwide. As aquatic turtles mature, their diet changes and plant material makes up a larger part of their diet. This growth formula is scientifically formulated to meet the dietary requirements of growing aquatic turtles with a shell length of 2 to 6 inches (5 to 15 cm). For hatchling turtles, use Zoo Med's Hatchling formula. Feed adult turtles with Zoo Med's Maintenance formula.
Most aquatic turtles prefer to feed at the water's surface (like Red-eared sliders, Painted Turtles and Map turtles), Our pellets float making it easier for them to locate their food.

Feeding Guidelines:
This food is formulated for turtles that have reached their full adult size, or a shell length of 6 inches (15 cm). Open contain and spoon out 1 level teaspoon of food per turtle. Let turtles feed for a minimum of one hour. Any uneaten food left after this time should be netted out and discarded. If your turtle eat all their food in a short time, you may want to increase the amount to one level tablespoon or more per feeding.
