The AIXIA Corporation started in 1990 and was known as Taiyo Pet Food Co., Ltd. back then, specialising in processing marine products and developing cat food formulas. Kuro-can and Kin-can were then produced during the same year. In 1993, the company name was changed to Maruha Pet Food Co., Ltd. Through the years, they have seen to the release of many new product lines to cater to the varying nutritional needs of cats in Japan.
Only in 2005 was the company named AIXIA Corporation. By then, they have secured a huge share in the wet cat food market and established themselves as an amazing cat food manufacturer with their products available globally. Their popular flavours include tuna with scallop, chicken fillet with whitebait and chicken fillet flake with dried skipjack.
