Addiction has innovated dry cat food recipes with unique flavours such as salmon bleu, duck and venison. Having won many awards in the industry, their recipes are sure to win the hearts of your feline friends.
In 2002, a renowned veterinary surgeon and clinical nutritionist realised that the pet foods at that time included fats, grains, by-products and additives which were causing a lot of food allergies and health issues. Inspired by this unhealthy trend, he set out to formulate nutritionally beneficial pet food recipes that mimicked cats’ and dogs’ natural diets.
Each recipe included premium proteins and wild game meats, which serve to be a hypoallergenic option that is easy to digest. He also added vegetables, fruits and herbs to enhance the flavour and wholesomeness.
Thereafter, he let some of his patient dogs and cats try it and there was a positive response. Those that were regularly fed Addiction pet food saw huge improvements in their skin and coat health, as well as their overall immune system.
Addiction ensures that all products are manufactured at their own plant in New Zealand, and there are no artificial preservatives, flavours, or by-products added. Lastly, they also use a low-temperature processing technology to retain valuable nutrients in their foods.
