Step-in
This type of harness is suitable for small dog breeds. It has two holes, one for each leg and a back strap secured using a buckle. It may take slightly more time to put this harness on for dogs that get excited easily.
Boomerang-shaped
This accessory is relatively easy to put on. Simply lay it on the ground and wait for your furry companion to step into it before pulling it up and fastening it.
H-shaped
As compared to other types of harnesses that are tightened around your dog’s shoulder blades, H-shaped ones are worn around the neck and trunk. Thus, your pet is less likely to injure his joints when he tugs on the leash harshly.
Your pet may not take an immediate liking to the harness. Hence, you can try to develop a positive association between your dog and the harness through treats and praises.
Additionally, in order to let your pet be accustomed to wearing a harness, try letting him wear it at home before going for walks with it. With enough practice, putting a harness on your dog will eventually become natural to you!
