Help!My cat has been restless lately

 My female cat(about 5years +)has been quite restless and lethargic lately.She has been sleepy and will only eat a small amount of food(wet food) and water.When I fed her with dry food,she will sniff for a while an eat about 1 to 2 pieces of it.I have check the Internet about a similar symptom like this but I am quite unsure myself.I have just loss a male cat and I can't bear to lose another.Please help!If it is an illness,is there any medicine that can  be found at the pet shop?
