Betta Fish has tumor :(

My pet Betta fish is sick. I noticed there was this small 'bump' growing about 1 month and a half ago. I didn't think much of it as I was searching online some said it could have been possible that it injured itself because of the rocks. But now the bump is soo much bigger and I am starting to see negative signs like the fish struggling to swim, having a hard time eating, or even breathing. I'm so worried, and from what I read, they say it is a tumor? But why? And is there any way for me to get rid of it?

Hi Mariam,

We suggest to use antibacterial medication to avoid further infection of the suspected injuries on your fish.  Change your aquarium water once a week and appropriate water treatment should be also done.

This may not warrant your fish recovery, however, the antibacterial medications we suggest may avoid and prevent further infections/complications.  Tumors/ cancers on fish may have difficulties on treatment, as most of it have no cure nor treatment.
