Gallstones formation in guinea pigs can be treated depending on your veterinarian's diagnosis. It depends on the severity as well as the extent of the formation. It can be controlled by good diet. However, we suggest to have a further diagnostic procedures by your veterinarian to confirm its occurence.
Just to highlight, further, the frequency of gallstone formation is high on vitamin C- deficiency guinea pigs. It is otherwise, recommended to provide good quality diet with optimum vitamin C and high fiber. Provide plenty amount of fresh and clean water and let it be accessible to your pet at all times.
