Hi Flameland,
The distinct petfood odor is always there regardless of whichever types of pet food your may select and give to your pet. Often times, we don't like these odors but your pet likes it. There are reasons too why your pet have foul mouth odor. It is important to check whether there are oral lesions such as plaque, tartar or ulcerations of the gums or soft tissues, or even esophageal lesions, these would cause intense halitosis (bad breath) on your dog. We suggest to check with your veterinarian for such lesions and treat at once.
In addition. we suggest regular and good dental hygiene for your pet. This include regular toothbrushing, or those products added in the water or mouth spray. Consider too dental treats and snacks given from time to time.
