Qian
Hu goes into M'sia pet business
KENNY Yap (right), who calls himself "The Fish",
is going into the pet business in Malaysia. Listed Qian Hu Corporation,
in which Mr Yap is the executive chairman, said its wholly-owned subsidiary
Guan Guan Aquarium Sdn. Bhd. Has set up a joint venture in Malaysia
with The Pet Safari Pte Ltd, a Singapore-incorporated company. The
joint venture, PLC Pet Safari (Kuala Lumpur) Sdn. Bhd., is in the
business of pets, pet supplies, boarding, grooming, pet food, pet
accessories and other ancillary services in Malaysia. The authorised
share capital of the joint venture will be RM500,000 (S$228,450) and
its initial issued and paid-up capital will be RM300,000. Guan Guan
will hold a 49 per cent stake in the new unit. |
